Cabin Fever had started to set in, so when the weather showed us just a tiny bit of warmth and low winds I decided we needed to get out. I invited my Mom, Brother, and Sister in Law to join us up Pack Monadnock. We wanted to bring Charger our 3.5-month-old Pyrador pup (Great Pyrenees x Chocolate Lab) along with us to see how he would do, so we opt to walk up the Auto Road. The Auto road was mostly clear and only a few icy sections but even then those could be managed without spikes.
Charger and Dean (my Brothers dog) both did amazing walking up their first mountain together. It was totally black dog day, almost every dog we saw was black or mostly black! It felt great to finally get out again and enjoy some fresh air and stretch our legs.
